Flaherty dog beach information:
Flaherty Beach is on the western side of the Peninsula.
The beach is a fantastic place to walk your dog but there are laws that apply and it ensures that all beach users enjoy the beach experience, not just dog owners.
Dogs are permitted on the foreshore at all times, subject to the following conditions:
* the dog must be on a lead no more than two metres in length
* dogs can be exercised off lead, but they must be kept under effective control. This means that your dog must be kept within sight at all times, be kept in close proximity, you're able to control your dog in any circumstance, it does not run up to any other
