Our experience

We've been here before, but we only explored Captain Cook's landing site and then left. Little did we know that the beach in the opposite direction is so great.

Bonna Point Reserve is truly ideal for strolling with kids and dogs. The beach is shallow, the water is warm, and it's crystal clear. We especially love beaches where dogs can join in. The dogs are all social butterflies, sticking close to you, inviting you to play fetch. It's a lot of fun to interact with them.

Behind the beach, there's a particularly large park. Our kid changed into dry clothes, took a quick look at the park, and headed straight to the beach.

You can take a leisurely walk along the seaside, soak up the sun, and occasionally find large crabs in the rocks.

There are parking spaces, but they are limited. We were lucky to find one. You can also park in the nearby residential area, but be prepared for a bit of a walk.

Address: Search for Bonna Point Reserve in your navigation app, and you'll get there.

There's a restaurant nearby, but if possible, bring some snacks. If you're only planning to play for half a day, you can have a meal afterwards. However, bringing your own food is a good idea as you can spend quite a long time here.
